The Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival is a celebration of one of Ireland’s most iconic writers, bringing to life the legacy of Bram Stoker in a way that only Dublin can. Now one of the city's largest arts festivals, it draws inspiration from Stoker's life, his work, and the rich Gothic atmosphere of Victorian Dublin.

The festival brings a dynamic mix of the supernatural and the after-dark, inviting attendees to explore the eerie and the macabre through various artistic forms. Over the years, the festival has showcased a diverse range of events, from outdoor spectacles and intimate experiences to world film premieres and award-winning theatre productions.

Audiences have been captivated by circus performances in dark forests, comedy in nightclubs, choral ensembles in libraries, and events spanning every genre imaginable. From cathedrals and parks to squares and intimate venues, the festival has transformed the city into a playground for those drawn to the darker side of culture.

The festival’s family-friendly offerings have also created memories for younger generations, with Stokerland providing a whimsical yet spooky experience with discos, workshops, face-painting, and performances. In 2024, the Bram Stoker Festival promises even more thrilling and deliciously dark surprises over the October bank holiday weekend, continuing its tradition of captivating and entertaining audiences of all ages.
